PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Solomon site in the Hamersley Ranges is located 60km north of Tom Price in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

NRW were awarded the contract by Fortescue as a joint venture with Eastern Guruma & Wirlu-Murra JV (EGWME JV). NRW have a strong relationship with Eastern Guruma having successfully completed Western Turner and Nammuldi bulk earthworks together.

The project duration is 25 weeks and will employ 108 workers at its peak, 92 of which will be direct employees of the NRW EGWME JV.

CONTRACT SUMMARY
NRW EGMWE JV have been appointed to construct the installation of piping and decant tower, as well as the wall raise earthworks.

The scope of earthworks includes:

  • 2,067,648cm borrow to fill
  • 20,000cm cut to fill
  • 5,500cm drill and blast
  • 119,313sm foundation preparation

This contract award marks NRW’s tenth project with Fortescue and is a testament to the strength of this relationship.
