When a bushfire broke out near the Karara site, the NRW Civil & Mining team stepped up to help the Emergency Response Team (ERT), Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) and their client, Karara Mining Limited, to manage the situation.
With a loader, water cart and extra hands from the NRW team, the 30 responders were able to move quickly and efficiently, gaining control over the blaze, minimising impact and safeguarding those in the area.
