NRWCM is making tangible moves to support diversity, as in the 2023-24 period, three women were onboarded in service person roles at the Mt Cattlin project. These new employees joined NRWCM’s traineeship initiative. A program that is open to current employees and offers avenues to upskill and diversify capabilities, providing workers with a structured pathway for transitioning into a new role.
With the extra support of the traineeship, career pathways have become more accessible for new service people at the Mt Cattlin project. They are currently delivering outstanding results, providing vital service and maintenance to a wide variety of machines and equipment to keep operations running.
NRWCM aims to create accessible, supportive pathways for women within the business, ensuring they provide equal encouragement and opportunities for leadership roles. Their internal trainee initiative is the first step; however, they are also determined to contribute to the push for critical industry-wide change.
