Within the NRW Holdings Group, we are dedicated to developing the next generation of leaders. As part of this commitment, Action Drill & Blast (ADB) sponsors the Queensland Resources Council/Women in Mining and Resources Queensland (WIMARQ) Mentoring Program every year.
This program provides support, mentoring and encouragement to women currently working in, studying for or taking a break from the mining and resource industry.
Through ADB’s sponsorship, they have the opportunity to send a few of their team members as both mentees and mentors. In 2025, the two ADB mentees are Patrice, a driller at South Walker Creek, and Libby, a trainee driller at Yarrabee. By pairing these mentees with highly experienced industry mentors and leaders, they can learn from them firsthand and rely on them for support throughout the year.
Attending the kick-off event alongside the mentees was mentor Peter Allen, ADB Training Manager – East.
