PROJECT DESCRIPTION

The Scope of works included bulk earthworks in preparation for the stockyard, car dumpers 6 and 7, conveyor link earthworks, relocation of water pipelines and rail formation earthworks. This involved common excavation, rock excavation, crushing and screening to produce approximately one million tonnes of pavement material and the construction of approximately five kilometres of sealed roads.

As with the original contract (refer PFS-055), the works were undertaken in Joint Venture with Indigenous partner, Ngarluma and Yindjibarndi Foundation Limited (NYFL).

The duration of the Project was approximately 48 weeks and peaked at a workforce of 270.
