PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The Marandoo Southern Waste Fines Storage Facility Project is located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, 45 kilometres east of Tom Price. The Contract is expected to run for 44 weeks, commencing on site in April 2018.
CONTRACT SUMMARY
NRW’s long standing relationship with Rio Tinto has seen the two companies work collaboratively together for many years. Previous projects have included Yandicoogina and Nammuldi.
Scope of work includes:
- Tailings dam
- 213 hectares of clearing
- 526,000m3 of topsoil and subsoil removal
- 2,850,000m3 of earthworks
- 5,920m of underdrainage pipe installation
- Tex creek diversion earthworks
At its peak, there will be over 100 workers required for the project.
