Big milestones for Northern Star Resources Limited at the KCGM Growth Project as the Primero team enters a major construction phase.
This Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for this project was awarded to our Primero business in 2023. Complete scope includes:
- Project management
- Engineering
- Procurement
- Construction
- Commission
- Performance testing
As of June 2025, Primero progress indicators are as follows:
Engineering: Separable Portion (SP) 1 is 90% complete, SP 2 is at 66%.
Procurement: 4 of 7 steel shipments have been delivered, with the 5th shipment sailing from China. 223 of 234 procurement packages awarded to date.
Construction: Major concrete works are well progressed and nearly 70% completed. The flotation cell pre-assembly is complete, and structural steel installation is underway!
People: 600+ people driving the project forward, with 300 on-site daily.
