PROJECT DESCRIPTION

NRW completed a schedule of rates contract for earthworks and underground services required for the Hope Downs Village Expansion. This project included 35,000 cubic metres borrow to fill.

Upon completion of the earthworks contract, NRW then went on and formed a Joint Venture with Ocean to Outback Contracting to perform the Lump Sum Contract for the installation of Village structures. NRW’s well managed performance on the preceding earthworks and services Contract was a determining factor in this award.

Works included the foundation preparation and placement of transportable units; earthworks and backfilling; service connections; mechanical installations; veranda and path construction; and associated infrastructure including water tanks, workshop and recreational facilities.

This contract was split into 17 Separable Portions each with its own occupation date and works were conducted adjacent to an operational village hence careful noise management practices.
