Nammuldi Incremental Tonnes Project. NRW was awarded a 24 month contract for contract mining and ore haulage to increase production at Rio Tinto’s Nammuldi Mine.

The scope of the contract included:

  • Construction of mine haul roads, ore stockpiles, waste dumps and other mine infrastructure
  • Production mining (including drill & blast)
  • Haulage of high grade ore from mine area to the existing Nammuldi Plant site
  • Supply, installation and operation of two 5 Mtpa crushing plants The Project has a value of approximately $140M, and will utilise a significant amount of existing NRW equipment including two Hitachi 250 tonne excavators and up to 14 Caterpillar 785 dump trucks.

The contract is anticipated to have a peak of 135 personnel on site, including local Indigenous participation. Mobilisation and commencement of preliminary site works commenced in August 2015.
